About
Tasked with designing a chair inspired by a famous female architect, I designed Angulus influenced by Annabelle Selldorf. Selldorf is known for her understated elegance, working with historical and modern styles. She utilizes elegant lines and crisp forms to communicate powerful meaning. Angulus works with a classic sitting chair form, while becoming a modern statement. The chair is simple yet striking; a leather tilted back continues to the floor, and sharply contrasts the solid ash wood arms.
Paired with a research report on Annabelle Selldorf for my Modern Architecture class at NYSID.
